Austin Travis Chalk - Founder of MN Coin
Hello everyone! I just wanted to share my story.
I was born a long time ago, before time began and this spark of my soul has chosen to join us here and now.
I grew up happy and not knowing any more than my own perspective. I was born into a farm family in Colorado where we raised corn, beef and alfalfa. We always called it hay.
I learned how to work physically from a young age and this has benefited me throughout the years as hard work is no obstacle for me.

I learned to raise and take care of animals. I was a part of a club called 4H where we would show animals at our local fairs. I got to take care of pigs, cattle and even a rabbit when I first joined.
Looking back, it was a lot of fun. The spiritual side of me hurts as all us kids raise these animals then we auction them off to be slaughtered. You grow up quick on the farm.
Animals have always been something I love. Humans, I don't fully understand or always enjoy as humans can sometimes be cruel and mean were as animals are just happy to be fed.
I always loved nature and the outdoors. I grew up with guns and also really enjoyed that. I spent most winter weekends in Colorado hunting ducks and geese. I also loved fire as a kid. I loved campfires the most.
I always had a deep fascination with learning. I had a picture history book of the Indians (Native American) Tribes and I always found that fascinating. I learned to read at a very young age and also fell in love with Star Wars.
I always had a garden. To some, being a farmer it was like having a massive garden and as a kid I wanted to be like my parents so every year I would convince my dad to use his Ford Tractor to till up a weed patch and I would cultivated it with Watermelon, cucumbers, corn, and of coarse Strawberries.
Once the birds learned where my strawberries were, I'd be lucky to get one.
I also loved water. On the farm we had a well and everyday I would water the garden and often make a mud hole to cover myself in mud.
I find these memories very fond and it all ties into what I wish to do with global agriculture.
I lived a very free life growing up. I lived in a farm town that was republican based. Guns, beer, country music and talk radio was the mandate.
I found many of my hours in the tractor listening to republican talk radio that just made me angry all day thinking the democrats were ruining this country. It's kinda funny to look back at these years.
I thought I knew something, but really I was young and ignorant.
I spent a great deal of my young years working and when I was payed, I had to pay taxes from a very young age. I became acutely aware of the importance of money and having it.
I wouldn't say I grew up wealthy in financial terms, but to be honest I had a lot of fun and learned a lot.
I have many interests and got exposed to many of them as a child, from space and race cars to money, finance and business.
When Youtube came out, I was all in. Science videos and everything. Eventually I got into stocks and in 2 days I halved my money buying penny stocks. lol
Funny now, but I thought I was gonna get rich in a day. Didn't happen. lol
I spent a lot of time on the internet trying to learn how become wealthy and really get away from the US dollar. I'd watched too many Youtube videos on the metro-dollar and the crimes of war. Many years later, I'm still using dollars and so is everyone else.
I was exposed to Bitcoin in 2013 via an online forum and it sounded too good to be true. A decentralized money not controlled by a government, bank or central authority. This was right when the mt gox exchange collapsed and I then read all the forum posts how bitcoin is a scam etc.
I moved on to stocks as this seemed a safer bet.
I officially got into Bitcoin in 2018 and that was so much fun. Seemed like the whole world cared all the sudden. Then the frenzy died and really, most people don't care even today. Where I am, dollars seem to work just fine and we all just accept inflation as what it is.
I had some hard years in my life. I had a failed business I had to shut down and get a job. I struggled with alcohol for a time and was really just burned out.
I never let go of what I wanted to accomplish as a kid though and that is still what is driving me today.
I love history, I love finance, I love exploring and most of all, I love creating.
I created MN Coin as a deflationary alternative to fiat currencies that inflate. I believe deflationary finance with MN Coin will better the world in ways unimaginable to most and most of all benefit you and me with the ability to save value through time.
I am currently the only person involved in MN Coin and most everything you see, from the website to the X content, I have created. I built the whole treasury system and I funding everything.
I have no backers, no investors I have to earn profits for, I'm in this for life and I hope you will join me.
Long term, I want to see MN used as currency with the ability to buy goods and services around the world using MN. I want to see the treasury system grow and be able to function near autonomously allocating funds each year and voting on proposals.
I want to see space and develop enterprise in space. I also want to build MN's network to be a modern internet.
I also hope to propel the world to a more sustainable future, both in agriculture and in transportation/ power. People deserve good food and a healthy planet.
I see a bright bright future for humanity and I hope to contribute.
Thanks for reading my story. I still have a lot more to do in this life so this is just the beginning. You can follow me on X @freecitixen or https://twitter.com/freecitixen
