Quaestors were mostly assigned to provincial governors where they would often look after the money and collect taxes. Governors could delegate any task desired to Quaestors. 2 Quaestors every year were assigned to the two Consuls for the year, and 4 were assigned to the Temple of Saturn to look over Romes Treasury and the archives of Romes Laws passed by the senate.

4 Elected from the Quaestors every year, the Aediles were tasked with overseeing the upkeep of the Roman Temples. This was for example, the Temple of Saturn (Romes Treasury), the Temple of Castor and Pollux (Romes Senate House), the Roman Bath Houses, the Roman Aqueducts, and the public food supply. The Aediles also were in charge of the festivals and public holidays.
