MN Treasury does a lot of things but under specific goals. For example, in the development of MN Network, MN Treasury may choose to allocate a portion of its yearly budget to research and development. 

This could go to paying computer engineers to help develop the framework or in paying for hardware that may be necessary for the network to operate.


MN Treasury also does a number of other things as it is the Parent Treasury for all MN Hosted Treasuries.

When Treasuries pass proposals, their Head Treasurer will send them to MN Treasury to be approved, delayed, or denied. Approved proposals are then updated to the Treasury webpage.

MN Treasury can also offer guidance for Treasuries especially at the beginning when Treasuries are just getting started.


MN Treasury is  bound by the same Treasury Code that all Child Treasuries under it are.

 
​Within the Treasury Code, MN Treasury operates and steps in when violations occur. This may happen when a Treasury Drops below the minimum of 13 Treasury Members or if a Treasury Member is found in misconduct.

This also means that the first 13 Treasury Members will be chosen by MN Treasury.
