The British East India Trading Company or EIC was a trading company set up in London and chartered by Queen Elizabeth and the royal crown in 1600 and later dissolved in 1874.
The EIC was formed to trade in the Indian Ocean which is India and southeast Asia.
Arriving in India, the East India Trading Company was essentially powerless to the then Mughal's who had vast wealth and resources from trade in their country.
By the end, the EIC had practically conquered the whole of India. Bloodshed and corruption with the aid of internal Indian conflicts, the EIC conquered a continent.
